SYDNEY & BRANDAN
ABOUT US
We met in early 2010 in a Marketing class at college. What started as study partners has turned into 10 years of marriage.
Shortly after we got married, we moved to Seattle where we both began work at the same small Tech company.
If there is one word that categorizes our relationship it's teamwork. We approach every decision, adventure, and life change together as equal partners and have each other's back no matter what. Though it was difficult to wait longer than we wanted to have a child, it allowed us to build an even stronger partnership that served us well when we became parents.
Though we originally both worked in the Tech industry, we decided in early 2020 for Brandan to start staying home with our son Tristan. Though the daily challenges are different and in some ways more difficult we wouldn't change our decision and Brandan has loved spending the additional time with Tristan.
Sydney works for Nordstrom at their Corporate Headquarters as a Technical Program Manager. Since the beginning of the pandemic we have all been working from home and it looks like it will continue that way even after. Though we have no complaints here as it means more family time and sneaking out between meetings for a quick play session with Tristan, Brandan and Shadow.
MEET BRANDAN
I love skiing, riding dirt bikes, and riding my beach cruiser bicycle near Alki Beach in Seattle. Tristan and I ride bicycles together every day the weather allows it, and even sometimes when it doesn't! One of my greatest joys in life has been becoming a father and I would love to have another child join our adventures.
MEET SYDNEY
I love the sun, being outdoors, and cooking good food. In the summer you will find me out with my flowers in the yard, and in the winter you'll find me in the kitchen cooking or baking some delicious meal to share with family or friends. Being a mom has taught me that there are more ways to love than I ever thought possible, and laughing until my sides hurt never gets old.
MEET TRISTAN
Tristan is an adventure boy through and through. He is constantly on the move and LOVES to be outside. In fact one of his first words was "outside". He will be an amazing big brother that helps his little brother or sister get into all sorts of mischief.
MEET SHADOW
Shadow is our cockapoo puppy. He joined our family in late November 2020 and is such a snuggler and wonderful playmate!

FAMILY
We consider our family one of our biggest blessings. We are so lucky to have a large extended family that is full of plenty of aunts and uncles to love our kids and no shortage of cousins to play with! And don't forget 3 sets of grandparents to spoil them rotten!
BRANDAN'S EXTENDED FAMILY
I am the middle of 3 boys. I grew up working hard at my Dad's landscaping company and playing even harder skiing, riding motorcycles, hiking and camping. I love my brothers and am thankful for the close relationship I have with them. My parents are known as "Nani and Gramps" to all the grandchildren and love that role more than anything! They were the best parents and now are the best grandparents.
SYDNEY'S EXTENDED FAMILY - MOM'S SIDE
My mom and stepdad got married when I was 6 so I was blessed to grow up with this big amazing family you see here. With 6 brothers and sisters in this combined brood I was never short on support, love, or just a listening ear. Experiencing the love we had for each other though we aren't a biological family gave me my first glimpse into how adoption can bring unimaginable joy to a family.
SYDNEY'S EXTENDED FAMILY - DAD'S SIDE
My Dad and stepmom got married when I was 7 and I was lucky enough to have yet another combined family that felt completely whole. Most of the hilarious and fun loving folks live within a few miles of us so we get to see them often. Matt, Jessica, and cousin Zozo live in Japan but come visit a couple times every year!
OUR HOME
We bought our home in West Seattle in early 2017. What immediately attracted us to this house was how full of character it is, how near it is to the bike path and Alki Beach, and how warm and cozy we feel inside. We have three bedrooms, and our personal favorite, a play loft where kids can play toys, watch movies, and play make believe. We LOVE our backyard and are out there every single day playing in the playhouse or digging with Tonka trucks. At night we roast S'mores by the fire and enjoy the relaxing atmosphere.
